I don't think I'll ever go back to FVD now. It's great how Newton instantly shows you the position of the first and last vertices. That will really help with trying to reproduce a ride from a rough layout made by hand.

What OS are you running and also in which way aren't they running, any error messages coming up? Imformation like this will help others work out a possible solution for you (maybe).

Okay then!
I'm just running a normal XP home. Nothing different. I used CAM-unzip to unzip the files, which may have made problems arise. I'm not sure, though. ut anyway, when I try to open Newton, I just get that screen that says that Newton encountered a problem and was not able to run. I really don't get it. D:

GAPman, maybe you should go back and read the thread about the first version of Newton. I'm pretty sure that XP users had to download something extra to make it work. Do a forum search for newton and you should find it.

Nice little program, by the way. A great alternative to the NL editor, without having to switch between a bunch of different programs. Thanks Entropy.

You need to download the latest .net framework in order to get either of the Newtons to work.

Yep, XP users need first to install the .Net 3.0 Framework. It's about a 50 mb download. Vista users do not need to install anything.

Mac users can run it if they have Boot Camp on their machines (with Windows, obviously). I've also tried it in VMware on a Mac Pro workstation. The performance was acceptable (if not great).

Will anyone be making a tutorial on how to use it? Or a Tips/Tricks guide?

Follow the link on one of my recent posts...or the link on the download page...or the link provided in the readme file. They'll all take you to the same place. [;)]

The framework doesn't want to install correctly. It hives me an error every time. I've tried 3.0 and the newest one... This is so weird!

PROTIP: There's nothing more annoying than saying "it gives me an error" and not saying what the error IS.
