^Finished layout about 3 days ago. I'm going mainly with towers for support structure. It will take a while, hence the reason I need a headstart with them.

How will you be judging an E-Stop with a launch piece?

I was wondering the same thing. If he enables e-stop before the train reaches the launch, then it won't launch, and the train comes to a stop. However, there would be no reason to e-stop a train there, as there would be an empty block before the station (where the other train resides), and the train that would be e-stoped would not be allowed to clear the lift if that block was not clear.

the e-stop will be judged as follows

if the estop is depresed before it hits the launch when the estop is canceled it must then launch to ge around the circuit. however if it is launched in the middle of the launch and dosent make it round and come back throught the launch ad crashes in the station then that wont be judged as realisticly there would be a rollback device.

If you e-stop and it completely stops, then launches again and successfully completes the circuit then it passes.

The other part I think says that it get launched halfway through the launch (somehow), fails to complete the circuit, goes back through the launch, and somehow makes it to the station he won't judge against you for that because in real life there would be some sort of roll back device.

Except with capitals and comma's[;)]

Anyways, I've basically finished with the major supporting like the 3 corkscrews and the Loop I have. I need to do some inbetween supporting, and definently tweak everything about the ride and supports. Comeing along; great and fast accually.

So it simply doesn't matter what happens on and after e-stop? Either it makes it through the track or it crashes into the station, but neither is bad? Then we don't need to test e-stop.

For the "no supports touching water rule," are you judging this based on complex or simple water? I've placed footers very close to the shore, and there is a discrepancy. The footers are clearly dry with simple water on (or in the editor), but are briefly hit by the small waves of the complex water. Is this ok? It's not a killer thing, I just need to know soon.

If the water touches them, then they are ilegal. I used to have the same problem. The solution is just to turn waves off.

Make sure you mention it in the description. Fail to do so, you will probably be disqualified. Same goes with using 1.55 or 1.6 Physics, mention that also.

1.55 or 1.6 physics is in the track info... Isnt it just saved into the individual track file. I dont know why people always specify it...

Well, after thinking about what ragan said and seeing other people's supports, I realized that my supports suck. A lot! So I am hold off for a while and going to really work on bridge supports for the loop.

Here is the new bridge supports that are in progress: http://img184.imageshack.us/img184/299/ ... rtshs6.png

Please comment them. I know you probably won't give me advise, because this is for the tournament, but I want to know if I am doing it the right way. If I am doing them wrong, and nobody tells me, then all of my future coasters will be this way.

^Casey, they don't look ugly, they look organized. But I agree with SFMM, it's not likely something like that would hold up. It would be difficult to bridge support something that low to the water, but you can do better. I've showed you the pictures of my finale bridge for EtNix, and seeing those, you should be able to get something close to an efficient bridge. Also, the connection area to the mainland needs more leverage. Right now, the middle would bend, but if you get some diagonal beams to keep up holdin' up, you'll be gettin' close to a good bridge.
