Pictures have been released all over the internet and construction has started for the new aquatrax going to Seaworld Australia. Still no official release from Seaworld themselves, but pictures of the track have been everywhere.

Looks like a ride with some crazy transitions!

Also, goldcoast.com posted
"Mr Menzies was remaining tight-lipped about Sea World's latest offering, only saying: "We have an exciting new attraction planned for Sea World which will be great fun for families and will open in time for Christmas."

There's a lot more pictures of the track on site at http://www.parkz.com.au/

gah, I love aquatrax. There just really fun, but I dont like how Atlantis Adventure at Lotte World doesn't even get you wet... that's just kind of a bummer, yano?

The I-beam supports look like older style ride supports. I wonder why they're not using tubes?

Not a whole lot of forces Ckmwm? I'd suspect that plus reduced cost are the reasons.

It doesn't really look it, but who knows. Maybe just water being squirted on the track like some other aquatrax.

I can't believe they use pipe clamps to hold the track to the supports... they must have tested that as an engineering solution but that seems a little archaic to me. I use them at work to hold hydraulic hoses to machines, I certainly wouldn't have considered them for this purpose! [lol]

That's where the station is going I'm pretty sure :

And it's also very shallow. Maybe they'll put water there, but there's no way the track could get low enough for the track to actually touch the water.

"Jet Ski Rescue"
Image
"Climb aboard your Jetski and zoom around the amazing track, flying and twisting past pristine rock pools at an exhilarating 70km/hr. Then enter the dark and dangerous blowhole cave where a sea lion waits desperately for your help. Blast through the cave and release the pressure, allowing the majestic sea lion to escape to safety. Then return to Sea World as marine rescue heroes."

Sea World announced yesterday that it will be building its first new roller coaster in over 25 years, Jet Rescue.

-Jet Rescue will rely heavily on theming. Passengers will fly through pristine rock pools and twist their way through a dark and dangerous blowhole cave where a sea lion awaits. Once the pressure has been released, both the sea loin and passengers can be sent to safety.
-Traveling over water at a speed of 70 kilometres per hour, this ride is sure to be a hit with both families and thrillseekers alike.
-The ride will utilise a twin-launch system, the first of its kind in Australia.
-Intamin AG is the manufacturer of this new roller coaster. This is the same company that built the Mick Doohan Motocoaster at Dreamworld.
-The trains will have seats that mimic jet skis. Riders will sit on them in a fashion similar to Dreamworld's Motocoaster.

Sea World's Jet Rescue is its final stages of construction and will open by late December.

Blegh, I still hate it when people steal Ideas. Once Vekoma has a unique coaster model ONCE!!! and then zamperla came out with one to, and Intamin did the same... But hea, think this will be a nice coaster no doubt.

i thought that it was going to be one large car with 2 large jetskis to hold like 3 people on each side just like the one in Lotte World, but as some people know, I HATE MOTOS, so this ride just got a little ruined to for me... And to jayman, a real sea lion? cmon, EE made a Yeti 25 ft tall that can move as fast as real humans, its not a real sea lion.
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.
