Swat & Diablo Falls Moved to Six Flags New England

Two rides from the recently closed Six Flags Astro World, Swat and Diablo Falls, have arrived at their new home, Six Flags New England.

Why does SFGadv and SFNE get all the good rides for 2 years in a row?

where are the coasters going

AWESOME. The S&S sky swats are extremely good, they really make you feel strange. Like your slowly being pulled out of your seat, and the forces are applied slowly, yet are very strong and are sustained. [:D] Well thats what slammer was like at thorpe.

well jpe, im going to go ride it int he spring, as im 2 hours from SFNE!!!!!

ive already ridden a diablo falls clone at SFA, but i definetaly an going to ride SWAT. Yesturday i posted the pics also and the vids, so im right on for these rides!

i think the SWAT will go up by cyclone, and the diablo falls will replace the log fume, if they take it out. When i went last month, the log flume area was bare, and no water in sight

where are the coasters going

From what I've been told from Six Flags Astroworld officials, the Texas Cyclone will be bull-dozed. The rest will be replaced to other parks.

I Like these rides, just for looking at and for riding them (I guess) I only know S&S Sky Swats are beautiful machines

Firstly i have been on one, i can tell you they are pretty forceful. Not like 5g or owt, but still forceful, alot more than they look. I can also prove to you when my thorpe video is on this site that they do not rotate slowly. The ends of the arms end up going at about 35 - 40mph apparently. [:)]Trust me, when you are going backwards, and are yanked downwards and your shoulders are pushing against the restraints, you can feel force. [:D] Because of the restraints you also feel alot more vulnerable, as you dont have the front of them. Just the lap bar and the top bars, instead of the full OTSR. I heard alot of people screaming "ARGH where do we hold on!!!!" as the bars are in a funny position. On the video i have though, my dad took, and you can see me riding with hands held upwards [:D] hehe.[:p]
