...Seems kind of dead. Honestly, if the download/rate ratios don't improve I think I'll stop uploading here completely and share to Steam Workshop only. I liked the exchange here because people were able to leave legitimate scores and a detailed review rather than just thumbs up or thumbs down with a comment....if they chose to comment at all.

Yep its fustrating. Last year we reduced the required text for a legitimate rate and trialed the rate for rate scheme - this year we're looking to tackle it with the return of the rate for rate scheme, more social media coverage of uploads and hopefully find a way to reward raters. If you have any suggestions feel free to post here or pm myself!

Here's a couple of suggestions:

1. people could get points for every rate they give.
2. after each Weekly Awards, the people who rated the winning tracks could be rewarded with points. After all, they helped the track win by rating it!

1) People already get points for rating

2) Screenshot Saturday is not affected by our rating system - i assume you mean weekly awards?

I feel like this would cause some users to fluff their reviews though.

Although we can quite easily moderate out trashy rates - Id almost rather that problem than no rates at all at this point.

There's a chance we'll be implementing a new trophy system this year if we can get it working - which might provide a different incentive. Ill see what I can do on that front at least.

Seems a bit harsh but I wouldn't mind penalties for users who don't rate. NLE would not allow you to download new rides unless you submitted a certain percentage of ratings.

It's quite possible we bring in a 10-15% required rating ratio, although I think we'd like to start fresh so that people aren't penalised for something that was within the rules.

Honestly, I don't know. NLE was shut down and I very rarely used it. The forums have all moved to NLC.

Hopefully we'll be looking to implement some stuff in February, unfortunately I've been very ill the last couple of weeks and I'm off to France tomorrow for a week - so the aim is to crack on when I get back!

Looking forward to it. Maybe Aventador's new an improved revisit will finally get a rating.

Prepare for spam ratings like crazy! NLE had a really huge problem with them for years. NLE eventually ditched that system!

We already deal with spam ratings enough imo. Mainly because leechers run out of points by just downloading and not participating in the forums/exchange.

I still can't wait for a search system to track down ratings from certain users.
