meh, $400!!! What a rip off. $400 for the console and 1 controller, maybe 1 game. And then its like $50 for another controller, and for 3 more making it $150. Then $50+ per game. Followed by $50 per year for Xbox live (if you wish to play online) just for something that will only last for about 5 years. So thats over $100 a year in investment once you get everything. I'll stick to my PC which can do more than just game.

OLD I have known this most summer. anyways I come from xbox live to bring you there comments. To many options and problably not to many people will get it because they dont have $$$ or want ps3 and cant get both. I would get it but I am waiting for the price to go down

xbox live base service is free but a better version of live is available for more mulah

I'm still not going to get it, console systems have one major drawback that extends to longevity of a game. Modability.

Wait what, no XBOX Live, WTF then why would anyone buy it? If thats true than the Xbox 360 May Be just another Playstation 1. I dont know much about "Video Games," so if i wrong dont get mad, Get glad.

They will have a base XBox system with the basic components for 300 dollars - same as the other systems.

The 400 dollar system is what they call the "Silver" package and includes alot of goodies that would add up to over 400 if you bought them all seperatly.



From what I have heard the PS online is far, far, far, far, far inferior to XBox live. Right now I currently have 2 accounts on live. Its worth it because I only paid 100 for both (50 dollar's at store) for a year. The service is excellent and its way worth it for parties and such.

I look at it as an investment in not only my free time, but the free time of others spent here. Lots of PGR2, Halo2 and Forza goes on.

oh boy, I can't wait till the next version of a game consol system comes out thats even more money! I'm so excited

Take a look at the screenshots for PGR 3 and you wil know why I owe my mom over $100. (I only have like $280 something) But look at xbox.com for the game's specs, games is not the only thing it will be known for. Did someone say this won't have Xbox Live? If that's what they said then they are insane. Look at xbox.com because it will have it.

But the service is horrible! Ive not heard a single good thing about it. Ive also heard that the ability for games to be hacked and altered is incredibly easy.

Had one kid go on and on about all the hacks he knows of for SOCOM. Also about how to abuse the online play by using the pause button on his modem to give himself lag to everyone else but it shows up fine on his end.


Its free because its a basic service. Key word - basic.
