well If we want to get technical, would it not be the only above track dueling roller coaster with inversions?
What are these for?

Would it not be the first roller coaster with inversions on that specific point of planet earth? [lol] Every coaster is a world first!

I recall Fantasy Island (the pyramid place is that name right?) having the world tallest inverted roller coaster encircling a pyramid or some BS like that.

All of this snow won't be helping the delay in construction! We're not Canada.

I'd imagine if they didn't finish the drainage of that trench it makes construction just LOVELY when there is any precipitation, especially in winter.

Looks like they've still been working today, despite the snow - although, in fairness, it doesn't look like they've really had any there, certainly not in comparison with my neck of the woods...

So it's called "The Smiler."
I couldn't understand why until I saw this:

I am, to be honest, just going to continue calling it SW7.

"The Smiler".... Dafuq?

I wonder how they are going to finish that up with theming and such. It would need some good theming/story around this to give it such a ludicrous name...

Yes, I think I would honestly have preferred something like Crazy Facebook Killer Stole My Flying Free Dueling Coaster Corster; at the very least, that would have been amusing.

I think the name is good. Really good.

I'm dead serious. It's brilliant

Jesus christ at least call it the Glasgow Smiler or something so it at least references mutilation and has some attempt at badassery.

Would be a bit weird, though seeing as Glasgow is 300 miles away in a different country [lol]

But the nearest City is Stoke, and as we've already established in this thread, Stoke is a terrible place which should not be made famous for anything, ever. (Plus "Stoke Smiler", sounds abhorrent)

I really hate the name. They're going to have to do some real work to tie the theme into that, surely? What has that big spider thing, that the coaster passes through, got anything to do with "The Smiler"?
