well, think of it this way. The body can sustain up to six posotive g's before blacking out, but it can sustain nearly 30 g's of acceleration force without serious injury. The maximum force of a launch could easily be as much as 10 g's on an amusement park ride if they could find a way to provide such a quick launch. "Dodonpa" in Fujikyu, Japan launches from 0-107 in 1.8 seconds, while TTD launches from 0-120 in 4 seconds, which means that Dodonpa has twice as many g's on the launch as TTD does. (over 4.5 g's of acceleration), but no gurest has ever been hurt in any way on the ride. Acceleration is completely different than posotive g's... just remember that.

Yeah, but at those high acceleration g's, those peeps who put their arms in the air will get a broken bone, then they will sue the park, even though the park told them not to hold their arms in the air. [lol]

Yeah, the G's can be tolerated but the whiplash could be very serious.

Seriously, though, I think the accel force would just pull about a little more than TTD's. You thin the spring will launch so sudden, like taking a train to 120 in 1 sec, but the physics are different. The spring is on a large scale. So It won't be as sudden actually. This is why when you do a model coaster, it behaves very differently from a really one.

If you scale everything down in a model to the proper dimensions it will still operate the same as a life sized one.

Actually it wont due to the fact that gravity stays the same, so it would have a much greater affect on the cars than in real life.

not if you scale it currently, in theory, it would be exactly the same only scaled to to match the wieght of the car, thus giving basically the exact same thing if things were the same size, and junk. But now I've confused myself.[sillyme]

But I do agree, no matter what you do it, you will never know 100% what the ride will do unless you actually build a real life size model.
