Hey everyone,
I'll have you know the new coaster looks awesome and it opens March 15th along with the rest of Nick Universe!
I actually work across the street as a sales manager at
The Residence Inn - Bloomington.
Since March 15th is right around the time of spring break - we're going to be offering some awesome hotel deals in conjunction with the new Nick Universe opening!

Give us a call and ask for Emily @ 952-876-8802! I am here M-F from 8am - 5pm. You can also e-mail me at egoretsky@csmcorp.net. We have a complimentary shuttle to the mall - and I promise you, it will be an awesome spring break trip!!

I'm going to try to make it out for opening day if I'm not doing anything else, but I might just wait a little while to go, maybe find a weekday that works so the park's not too crowded.

Ahhh. I'm flying back from California through Minneapolis on the 13th :(
Last time i had a long enough layover the take the train to MOA and enjoy some of the rides before having to head back. Least it will probably be open next time.

Here's a great set of pictures from Midwest Info Guide showing a lot of the theming that's been put up over the last week or so: http://www.midwestinfoguide.com/moa/

It's actually Spongebob's Rock Bottom Plunge. If you've seen the episode "Rock Bottom", you'd notice the bus is Orange-Red. [:)]

Both rides have been testing for the last week or so and we finally have videos of them. Spongebob looks a little slower than I had hoped but I know it will still be a great ride. That little hop after the loop should give some great ejector air.

Great videos; thanks for sharing! Both rides look like a lot of fun. I definitely like the looks of that airtime pop after the loop, as well as that last helix.

It looks like a great ride, I'm sure it will become a little faster as the rails and trains are broken in. The last helix is probably the part I like the best.

You could hear the upstop wheels hitting the track after the loop on that little airtime bump. Sick!

Thought I'd post a couple nice pictures from Looty at TPR of the entrance to Rock Bottom Plunge. Here's the link to more pics from yesterday too:

All mine, although some angles might be repeats. Sorry, I went crazy standing by this beautiful roller coaster. It truly is much bigger when you're by it.

Nice pics, I have to agree with you about how crazy it is looking up at that drop. The whole ride is just so much bigger than I had imagined the Eurofighters to be, and I'm pretty sure this is the shortest one so far.

Yeah, no way I'm going this weekend, when I got no lines and as many rides as I want tonight [lol]

Canadmos, I'll see if I have time to upload all the pictures + get the reviews in by Sunday. Busy weekend though.
