Herb Schmeck was the best coaster designer who ever lived IMO. I don't see how you can have a poll like this without including him. He was a genius.

Werner Stengel for Steel and Wood, he designed the best coaster like MF, EGF, Balder and so on.

Frederick Church, The airplane coaster to me, looks like one of the best coasters ever made. I wish i could have voted for a few more aswell, like Herb Schmeck, Harry Traver, and Werner Stengel, and of course John Miller.

I vote for Denise Dinn... almost nothing beats a good CCI coaster. I might have voted for Traver, but I have obviously never ridden one of his coasters.

Denise Dinn contributed nothing to the designing of CCI coasters. That credit goes to Dennis McNulty and Larry Bill.

Why are you telling me? I'm not the one that made the topic. And since Larry Bill and Dennis McNulty are not on the list of chioces, I have to assume that the creator of this topic meant "the designers at CCI" when he put Denise Dinn on the list. I know full well that she was just the head of the company, not the actual designer. But without the real designers as a choice, I hadd to vote for Dense Dinn in order to vote for CCI.

Harry G. Traver is my my wood favorite because he made the crystal beach cyclone, I wish I could ride it. For steel, I guess stengel. But there are plenty of wood designers that are very good, like Intaminfan said.

^ Yes, i heard that but i wasnt sure if it was true and didnt want to make myself look stupid. [lol] I dont think Thomas Prior shoiuld be on the list with Frederick church, from what history tells us, prior never actually designed a coaster. They were a partnership, yes, but Church did the technical coaster stuff, while Prior handled the business/money side of things. So i heard anyway, and i have read that a number of times aswell.

MMMmmm, such a pretty ride.

I agree. I wish i got the chance to ride it, i wonder if it rode as well as it looked. That second element, the spiral drop looks as if it had crazy lats (well from the over head layout ive seen and from the few pictures) and it also looked like the ride would have had some great airtime aswell
