Someone around march said it had launcher problems, but it should be working. Someone else said it's running better than last year, which is sort of how the millenium force went. Except millenium force had no problems on it's 2nd year. TTD still does.

I am currently an employee of CP, so I'll answer this question... TTD is running consistantly this year, more so thn last, but it breaks down for about an hour at least 2 or 3 times a day, so get on it while you can. I have personally been on it 3 times this summer, and I can assure you it is the most intense 14 seconds of your life. Just don't ride it in the mid evening... the mayflies splatting against your face is not a good feeling. Try to get on TTD before noon and you should be able to get on it in under 2 hours.

Yeah, I heard it's running very well lately, with a few problem at the beginning of it's second season like a cable snap and such. Looks like Cedar Point did their homework,e verything was fixed quickly [pshades]

Yeah, some of CP's rides break down on the first season, then it's usually fixed with rare or no problems.

Well I think to get the high acceleration is the problem. Cause this isn't easy at all for the machines.

Pretty much right, Xcelerator had the same problems, now it goes even faster on TTD. The hydraulic pumps had problems, the catch-car had problems and was send to germany in the off-season to be redesigned, which fixed most issues, so the ride is running well now. The cable snapped once, which is no big deal and can be fixed overnight, it happened on MF too.
It's the usual kind of problems you have with new technology, look at X, or the first LIM or LSM rides (Volcano, V2, Mr. Freeze, Superman: The Escape, California Screamin...) almost all of them opened way late or had lots of down-time. Now look at Storm-Runner, the 3rd rocket coaster, has hardly any problems at all anymore.
