Laser to be shut down! Please Read!

I knew one day that this would happpen but I never Knew it would be so sudden[:(][:(][:(]

Anyone with any proven facts on this? Information on wikipedia that doesn't have any references doesn't really sit well in my stomach.

Anyone can go in and edit wikipedia. People cant put that its gonna blow up for all i care.

Lazer is going to be gone after the 2008 season. I would know, I work there.

It sucks that Laser is going, it was a nice little coaster. According to someone at another forum, it looks like it's going to the European funfair circuit.

Laser is going after the end of the season. The park is talking off the record with the township to get permits to take it down.

It was sold about a month ago, I'll post the link if I can find it again...

Nice price for a fine working ride, very great addition for a tiny park.

^ I HIGHLY doubt that it sold for 1.2 million. Not in the condition the ride is in. But I could be wrong.

I go to dorney all the time and i always enjoyed the Laser...I will miss it dearly...:'(

Are you signed up? It still says 2008 for me, and the edit only works for your IP Address, unless you are signed up.

Yea. Laser is by far the most intense ride at the park. Though I am gonna laugh when Laser gets put anywhere by Germany. Since thats what everyone "knows" will happen.

Maybe the fair that comes by my house every summer about 15 minutes from Dorney bought it and I can still ride it for a week...

Why does every one love Laser so much?? It isnt a good ride. Not even close to the others at Dorney. Hydra and Talon beat Laser by a mile!

Because it's a classic. It's a Schwarzkopf looper, which you hardly see anymore. It looks like a great ride, in my opinion.

It may not be up to Talon or Hydras standards...but it is a classic looper from the early days of looping coasters and is a fun ride for what it offers.

i guess so. I remember loving it when i was younger but now i notice that its almost like rickety like a woodie and it gave me a headache. I guess i just forgot how FUN it is.

Hydra is far from great. Talon and Laser are by far the most fun and intense coasters there. Laser is the only ride to make me black out to. That another reason its great IMO.

That's true...Laser actually makes you feel some forces pretty good.
