The Metallica version of this game hasn't been out long enough for any normal person to be that good.

Good lord... I can't even play beginner in the first version...

that song was on GH3, and from watching this the notation is nearly identical to the version on GH3, so its likely that the kid hit 100% on the old one and just practiced this one for a short while

and coming from someone who has gotten 100% on plenty of GH songs on expert, if youre good enough it doesnt matter how long the song has been out

There is a benefit i.e. your wrist and fingers are loosened plus you have the coordination. I struggle to go over from medium to hard just because of the 5th key and only 4 fingers on them.

What are you going worrying about. GH is like playing a 5-fret 1 string. Try playing a real guitar (22 frets, 6 strings)

PSII version of Guitar Hero III actually has this same song on there -- so practicing it is really not that much of a stretch to be good already.

Anyways what I'm really getting at is that even Kirk Hammet will struggle with this.

This guy has been around for a while, and he holds multiple world records at GH. He is amazing.

What is your point? A D-major chord on my six-string is a lot more difficult than your green-orange chord.

probably not, I've never practised it. But being able to play One on GH doesn't mean you're just as good a guitar player as someone who can do the real thing

Certianly not. But I'm not comparing the game with the real thing in the first place.

I do assure you that even though none of the notes pressed in the game are realistic, A real guitarist won't just see the game as a breeze.

On expert, the game is not a breeze, but it is not too difficult. With no life and a week of practice, you can start getting 100% on a lot of songs. It takes years of serious discipline to get really good at guitar. Try playing a solo by Kirk Hammet at half the speed he does on guitar, its tough.

uh, holy crap.

I can't get onto hard mode, can't work out what fingers to use with what buttons and just get confused.

i've never understood why so many people try to 100% songs etc on expert and whatever. Sure, i enjoy GH/Rock Band a lot, but only when i play together with friends. For me, the games are 100% party games, i don't think i'd ever play it alone, it gets boring really fast. Maybe i'd play it alone for a bit just to get to medium or something so i wouldnt suck when playing with friends, but other than that i only play GH/RB with at least 2-3 people.

But that's just me i guess
