as posted on facebook today

"Following reports, Alton Towers Resort can confirm the temporary closure of TH13TEEN on Friday 13th August. This is a decision which has taken careful consideration following in-depth research. Findings show 1 in 3 people will change their behaviour on Friday 13th and we feel this is in the best interest of our guests, given the name ...of the ride.

The rest of the Resort will be open as normal"

seriously this is the most rubbish thing i have read from alton towers in a long time
Making screams come true

Most pointless reason to close a ride, If anything they chose the wrong ride to close.

Given that it is in Britain, it does not suprise me Brits would act weird that day.

what has the changing of people's behaviour got to do with it...
Cradled by two loving arms that I'd die for,
One little kiss and Felina goodbye.

More strange behavior and crime occurs on a full moon than on Friday the 13th.

Hopefully someday soon Alton will say that they are going to close the park down because they ran out of stupid publicity stunts.

[lol] Your third post! Why was it in the negatives in the first place?

Yeah, this is almost as bad as Six Flags.

But, whatever they've gotta do to earn their money I guess...
