Here is an interesting question i've been wondering. Do you think we have reached the limit of inversions? Have all the possibility of inversions been explored? or do you think that there are still companies out there who will think of new and creative ideas for a new inversion?

absaloutly not, theres alot more combonations an twists thats possiable. but dont forget a good coaster isnt about the inversion but about the feelings that you experience

^That unraveled cobra roll thing on the new eurofighter looks incredible. So unique!

But I do agree with gazag. Even beyond that new ting on the eurofighter, there are PLENTY of new twists that people can come up with.

It may become a question of whether you should as opposed to whether you could do something.

^^ Good point.

A better question may be: "Have all of the worth-while inversions been done."

Honestly I've been waiting for Intamin to do the unraveled cobra...
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

The inversion they should do in real life is the second inversion on gouldy's Tsar. That is the coolest looking inversion I have ever seen.

EDIT: We should have an inversion contest. People would just make it as an element, and we would decide on one the is exciting, cool to look at, and realistic. They could add supports to it too to make it look even better.

I also think another good question is, "Have we done every possible type of ride?" I personally don't think so, but I have never been able to come up with a new one.

how about a standing up flying coaster...

there are more designs n ideas then we think..
it just depends on how much the park wants to spend on new ideas that might not work..
look at maverick...the roll after the turn got taken out because of too high of force.. it could have workers if they taken time to tweak n lots of $$$

I think woodies should have more inversions. Especially GCI and Intamin can make such smooth tracks and such secure lap bars that inversions should be possible.

We definitely haven't reached the limit of inversions, especially on flying coasters.

For example, I've made a variant on the cobra roll I call a Python Roll. It starts as an immelman with the exit high above the ground and at 90 degrees to the entry, then ends with a "diving corkscrew" which brings riders back to a position near the ground, still turned about 90 degrees from the entrance orientation. This diving corkscrew can be performed in the same direction as the immelman exit (A 'continuous' python roll) or in the opposite direction (An 'alternating' python roll). The element can also reversed.

Way to address a stereotype. It's uncalled for an while there is a large amount of Americans that are over weight, saying "Americans are are fat" you're basically saying all of us are including yourself. I for one know I'm not, and im sure a lot of people on this site aren't.
