His lap bar opened. Unless he is a sadomasochistic (or totally stupid), he didn't open the locker of the lap bar himself. It could have broken and it opened the lap bar.

looks to me like he tried to stand up and lean out breaking his lap bar and catapulting him-self out of the ride. half way bad design and half way totally his own fault.

but this is a childrens ride designed for children not for idiots like him

Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

I enjoy opening the maintenance swinging doors on rides as I pass by.
The ride is not usually going at that speed.
