Twisted- /Triple Out'n'Back woodies?

Hey guys, can you think of any triple out'n'back woodie in real life? I think I've seen a few in NL, but don't know any real one... Or what about a single or double out'n'back that is so twisted that it almost looks like a twister? [;)] I've read somewhere in this forum that Boulder dash was an out'n'back, for example, but I think that's hard to analize if you haven't ridden it, as many parts are hard to picture... ?

define what you mean as triple out and back. as in when the train goes out and back 3 times? if thats the case, I can think of at least one, Comet @ hershey

All the various Cyclone designs could be considers triple O&Bs

Well see that's the thing, most out and backs were built due to lack of space, so if there is enough space to build a triple out and back, they will most likely be more twisted and less conformed to just hills. That's where we get twisters from.

Agreed, that's close... Though the Cyclone is "the" classic twister layout for me. Maybe if the last turn wouldn't crossover and go to the end of the layout like the others, it would really be a triple O&B.

Balder is a figure-8 just like that Thunderbolt; even if it may go 3 times out'n'back.

And Brtn, I also think that there's a very thin line between a true triple o&b (if one exists) and a twister, so designers would prefer building a twister as that gives a lot more layout freedom.

Comet isn't really a triple out and back, as during it's second "out and back", it bears right and branches off.

Boulder dash isn't really and out and back at all, a bit too disorganized IMO.

^I watched that vid and I really see the point of it being an out and back, as it actually just goes out and back (...in such a great way... I want to ride!!). But I'd personally only consider a ride an out'n'back really if it goes out and back along the same lines, meaning parallel or close to parallel.

If you want a proper 'Out 'n' Back'. Shivering Timbers is the one you want.

how could boulder-dash NOT be an out and back? that's all it does!! yes its on a teerrain but if you see an areal photo, you'd see that it goes out, turns around and comes back.

Dania Beach Hurricane is a double out-n-back. That's almost like 3, right?
