i was recently looking at rcdb for coasters in new jersey
i knew the Tsunami coaster was there but i couldn't find it
so i looked and looked and as i was looking at Clementon Park (the park where tsunami was), i found the pictures of "J2" to be the same as those of Tsunami

i guess they changed the name from tsunami to J2 (evidently that is short for Jack Rabbit 2)

that sucks cuz i sure hate the new name

I think it was because of the tsunami last December. They must've felt that the name might offend someone so they changed it.

http://www.rcdb.com/qs.htm?quicksearch=J2

Check rollercoaster name maybe? Was Tsunami, but got changed. Tsunami doesnt really remind me of a wooden coaster. More those crazy Pinfari inverts

I believe that after the tsumani happened around Christmas in Asia, the park decided that it would be politically correct and respectful to rename the coaster.

There have also been many speculations as to what J2 actually stands for as well. It has been said through someones friends, cousin's, uncle of a brother who visited the park heard the park owner say that the name 'J2' was from the first initial of his sons or something like that. Some have also said that it stands for Jack Rabbit 2, but who knows...
