hey, everyone. What's your favorite wood coaster? (Don't complain about the choices... this list is fabricated mostly from the 2002 Golden Ticket Awards)

never been on any of those, i'm deprived of really good parks even though im 2 blocks away from SF Great America. I've only been on American Eagle and Viper. I'd have to say viper because of one hill that i get tons of air time on. especially if i purposely have my restraint higher than usual.

WHERE IS THUNDERCOASTER???? [:(!]

Cmon, Robb Alvey said Loop Garou at SFB was better than Megafobia and Thundercoaster looks much better than Loop Garou, mostly because of its second drop [:D]

I was just following what Amusement Today and the Discovery Channel told me. Also, i know almost nothing about coasters in Europe... i was just jotting down the 3 tracks that I remembered. oh yeah, Viking 86, now I remember... Thundercoaster is the ride that was featured in the "norweigan wood" article of "Rollercoaster!" last winter. i guess i just overlooked that, figuring not many people had been on it. oh, well. I can't please everyone.

My opinion exactly. I have hyped Loup Garou quite a lot as it was very great and after doing my ThunderCoaster recreation TC seems even better.

This is not complaining about the choices, I'm commenting viking's post[;)].

the only reason to ride woodies = airtime and roughness. shivering timbers = air time and roughness. what else is there to say? although me second favorite is the great amreican scream amchine at SFOG. gwazi is second to last on my list (last is mean streak, no air or roughness)

you are forgetting the sense of getting your head chopped off on woodies. That's a great sense when you have to pull down your hands down thinking they might hit the planks and stuff. fun!

That's the best part about headchoppers! You sit in the front seat and keep your hands up while everyone else puts them down. It is fun because then you can say "HA!" (Evil French style laugh) "I am better than you, no?" (In a really exaggerated French accent) Everyone looks at you like your nuts but it is great fun! [:D]

I have never ridden any of these rides! My all time fav woodie is the Giant Dipper @ Santa Cruz. It's full of hand choppers, speed, and best of all, AIR TIME!

I havn't ridden any of the ones above, my favorite that I've ridden would be Predator at Six Flags Darien Lake.
